18-yr-old Carlos Alcaraz youngest in Open Era to reach QF at US Open

Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz has become the youngest in Open Era history to reach the quarter-final stages of the US Open. The 18-year-old, who knocked out world number three Stefanos Tsitsipas from the tournament in round three, defeated Germany's Peter Gojowczyk 5-7, 6-1, 5-7, 6-2, 6-0 in the fourth round to reach the quarter-finals.
